Get ready in Campaign Manager

Open your LinkedIn ad account, then Data → Signals Manager → Direct API. Generate and securely copy your access token.
Create a conversion rule with Direct API as its data source. Pick the business outcome you want to measure.
Copy the numeric ad account ID and conversion rule ID here. We check access before saving.
Associate the rule with the campaigns you want to measure. Accepted events need matching users and eligible campaigns for attribution.

Add the workflow action

In your CRM workflow, add Send LinkedIn Conversion.
Map a stable Event ID: a unique identifier for this particular lead outcome, appointment or payment.
Map Email and, if available, li_fat_id. Email is normalized and hashed before delivery.
Optionally override the saved conversion rule ID and map conversion time, value and currency.
Run the workflow and check the Delivery log.

A lead becoming qualified and a later purchase are separate events. Give them different Event IDs. Retries of the same event must keep the same ID.

Optional click ID capture

Add this after your consent manager has granted advertising tracking. It fills hidden form fields named li_fat_id or linkedin_click_id, including fields inserted later.

This captures click IDs only. Keep the LinkedIn Insight Tag if you use browser tracking. Use the same Event ID on browser and server copies of an event.

Validate before sending

Validation stays in this app. Send performs a real LinkedIn API request. Use a separate test conversion rule that is not associated with active campaigns.

“Sent” means LinkedIn returned HTTP 201. It does not prove the event matched a member or was attributed to a campaign. Check Signals Manager for the incoming source and Campaign Manager for attributed results.
